Gina King Wells
Gina Wells is a senior TA consultant in the Workforce program at AIR. Her primary responsibilities include serving as a senior advisor, subject matter expert, and director on projects related to the expansion of the U.S. Registered Apprenticeship system. She also supports states in their efforts to increase equity in the workforce investment system and serves as a subject matter expert on projects related to post-secondary work-based learning. She has extensive experience in the design and delivery of high quality technical assistance to support the adoption of evidence-based workforce development strategies and is a skilled facilitator.
Previously, King worked for twelve years at the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration. Her key projects included helping lead the agency’s implementation of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act; supporting collaboration and alignment across WIOA and one-stop partner programs; designing and delivering technical assistance in business engagement, sector strategies, career pathways, regional partnerships, pay for success, and systems change; developing policy for the Adult, Dislocated Worker, and Wagner-Peyser programs; and managing the Workforce Innovation Fund.
