Anthony Adkisson is a principal TA consultant at AIR with over 20 years of combined experience in workforce development and the health and human services field. In this role, he provides leadership to a team of staff supporting Job Corps Business Engagement Initiative and Enrollment Services Systems projects. Previously, he worked with Maher & Maher as a consultant, where he served as a team lead, facilitator, and trainer across various federal, state, and regional projects.
Prior to joining Maher, Dr. Adkisson was the senior manager for Towards Employments, a community-based workforce development organization in Cleveland, Ohio. In this leadership role, he implemented a Reentry Employment Opportunities (REO) career pathways program, which combined case management, training, career coaching, and other wraparound services to assist adults reentering society from incarceration.
Through his prior work, Dr. Adkisson also brings experience in youth programs, pre-apprenticeship and work-based learning, curriculum development, performance metrics, and management of federal-funded grants. He was also the director of education for the AIDS Taskforce of Greater Cleveland and served six years as a trainer and manager of education for Planned Parenthood of Northeast Ohio.
